Day starts off easy, changes suddenly

This week in MRI was good, but one day we started off with no in-houses on the screen and our first outpatient wasn't scheduled until 9:00 am. The outpatient was done with no problems and we were just waiting for our next outpatient that wasn't scheduled for several more hours until we looked up and the screen lit up with in-house patients. When you work at a hospital, your day could change in just minutes. What makes it worse the floor just expects you to hurry up and get their patients done. They don't realize you have to work your schedule around several factors.
